1.Technical Analysis (TA) and Fundamental Analysis (FA): Basically this forum will focus on the Technical Analysis (TA) and more specifically on the study of charts related to Dhaka Stock Exchange. Beside TA, we will also discuss the basics of Fundamental Analysis (FA) in order to support the SEC / DSE investor awareness programs. FA can play a complimentary roll for even a **** TA. When TA was on the offing, mostly due to media business, it was put as a RIVAL and blood enemy to FAs. We believe a learner should keep his mind open to accept the existences of other tools. The FA section is kept here as helping tools for the TA. It’s like the faculty of English in a big Technical University. The way we don't deny the existence of the vast wide world of English, the same way, we respect the FAs. But here, it’s a TA arena. All FAs, of this forum therefore contribute, and contribute in a manner that is conducive for TA.

2. We Are Against Rumor: We are against spreading rumor / rumor based trading and we want to create a community who would voice against such trades. We want to prove that education based trading is far superior to any other form of trading. We want the forum 100 % rumor free. No "tips" will be allowed here. Rumor is one which is plenty when market is booming in BD and none when market is bearish. The tool for spreading rumor has changed from time to time. Now since the internet is so popular in BD we have seen many rumor groups on social networking sites, rumor blogs and sub forums etc. We may allow members visiting those sites to see and judge peoples sentiments since our market is based on general sentiments but to be member there and to post there as well is prohibited.

3. Stock Recommendation is Strictly Prohibited: Recommendations for any stock / sector without logics / analysis will be taken seriously and they will be banned. This forum is no way meant for influencing other's trading decision. We want the members to learn how to carry out trading, basing on own knowledge and judgment. The best way to comply with this instruction is to ask "WHY" after your statement / post. We don’t want to have polling system / group based analysis to find the best ones. This forum primarily aims at educating the members so that they can utilize the knowledge and take independent decision.

4. Learning Platform: This Forum offers a learning platform for the members who want to devote some time in studying and researching knowledge based trading and investing.

5. Be Better Informed: In this information age, information are power. Better informed persons can take better decision. He can be independent fast through knowledge and educate others in the chain. The process must start now and move on faster. A strong and big knowledge based community can certainly contribute greatly towards our rapidly growing economy. Days are not too far, when the technologically sound, huge BD population will make our motherland as one of the strongest human resource base of the globe. Next generations will be proud to identify themselves as Bangladeshi. Sharing our knowledge and information will make each of us more knowledgeable and wiser. With more information and scientific use of this information would make us far better decision makers.

6. Regulations and Rules of the Govt and the Regularatory Body: This forum will strictly abide by the related regulations and rules of the Govt of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Regularatory Body. Members are prohibited not to go / post / initiate any post / thread that is too bluntly against the Govt or Regularatory Body. Always remember TA community is small and still it is not widely recognized. This is, basically an educational forum and we would remain away from all kind of political / religious beliefs. Remember that they have eyes on us and we need to remain always cautious.

7. Individual Stock / Sector Analysis: We have separate section for analyzing specific stock or sector. Members have the freedom to put their logics/analysis/ counter-logics about any stock / sector. We must remember that, all such discussions are primarily meant for application of theory based TA and FA on the real ground.

8. Personal Info / Interest of Members: We don't encourage members to specify the size of their portfolio and neither the number of shares they are selling / holding / buying is important. We expect our members not to get biased towards their portfolio. ChartsOnly members are expected to have bigger heart and vision so that they contribute / share knowledge irrespective of their liking / portfolio / disliking.

9. AFL: The thing WRONG with listening to rumors is that it makes you more confused. The first and foremost priority of this forum is to educate the general mass in such a way that THERES NO CONFUSION IN THE HEAD WHILE TAKING A DECISION. Whether THAT decision is a right or wrong one is based on individual experience, ability, knowledge, perception, vision but the main thing is the person is not CONFUSED in taking that decision. What the rumor thing does is cloud your head with confusion and you’re not able to think or decide properly. Same thing happens when you have too many AFLs, indicators and tools. They all confuse you. The more you have the more you will not be able to take decisions because trust me it’s very difficult tuning AFLs to all give buy or sell simultaneously. It’s simply not possible. Just stick to a simple system that suits your trading style and personality. Don’t make it more complex. TA materials are open to all members. Read the materials and choose a simple system and stick to it.


AFL section is locked to protect it from leeching. In the AFL section there is nothing extra ordinary and all the members here more or less have all the AFLs and yet everyone things there is some hidden treasure that I am depriving you all from. No one has the password not even the forum hostess so disturbing her unnecessarily is undesirable. If anyone needs something specific please ask me (tulan007). Hope you all will understand the need for taking such steps. If we could have done this long back then many precious ALFs would not have leaked out to the outside world. Not only AFLs many other software as well. These ALFs and software were created by Gurus of our TA community.

10. Integrity and Security of the Forum: For integrity and security of the forum members are requested not to quote references from this forum and post onto other groups and blogs. We don't want to fall under the radar of regulatory authorities for some wrong doing as this is totally for learning purpose only. At times forum may be taken offline due to various factors. Please don't get worries or upset and leave the forum permanently. Stay in touch with senior members, admin, moderators so that you will be informed about situations regarding the status of the forum.

11. We Recommend Quality, not Quantity: Don’t post one line sentences or unnecessary stuff and there is a thumbs up button which acts as thanks. Use that and don’t convey thanks or accolades in written form. One thank you says it all.

12. Try not to Duplicate Threads / Posts: Try, but don’t let this hinder your valuable postings. Finally moderators are there. One of the responsibilities of the moderator is to re-organize scattered posts under a single thread.

13. Inspire Other Members: Specially, those, who have the potential to contribute, not only on TA aspects - it may be FA / Excel sheet / Pure analysis etc. Sometimes giving them a little courage / appreciation, helps them break their shyness and come out with something better.

14. Thanking: We all must thank the senior members of the forum who had spent many days, weeks and months in posting / researching and sharing with us.

15. Sorting Members into Different Categories: The categories will have different permission to access different parts of the forum and so on. This is necessary after it has been observed members are in such a hurry for some specific information they need from this forum or some specific materials.

16. General Chit Chats: Here you can post general things related to anything as long as it is not a political, religious or offensive material.

17. Trade Hour Discussion: This is discussion during trade hour where we all can discuss our views on trades, general stuff, humor jokes and anything that can make the trade hour lively and fresh. Sometimes chat box will be opened during trade hour to facilitate the discussions. In this section also you are requested to maintain due decorum, remain calm and composed under any given circumstances.

18. No links / reference of FACEBOOK or Other Sources: No links to Facebook groups, blogs and any personal websites are not desirable. Anything related to speculation or rumor based links are not allowed. However, links related to stock market in electronic media and websites related to Government/NGOs/ Private companies will be entertained.


Digital Bangladesh - As DSE will be more automated in line with digital Bangladesh ideology, we want to make the online trader community more educated on computer based online trading. We also want to prepare the community for online day trading sitting at home, office or on move. As a computer literate, educated e-citizen, we aim to contribute in the national economy by assisting the government objective in having a more educated trader base and a healthy stock market. Our effort may be smaller than a drop in a pond, yet let us pledge to devote a small part of our spare time in sharing knowledge amongst our members. Unless we do our part, should we really expect something from our economy?

19. Ego Clashes: Ego clashes were so common and walk outs walk ins were also noticed. Things are a lot less hostile now and cooled but that doesn’t mean it might not start again. SO all members are requested to be polite, ego free and self giving to all. Whoever has problem with a fellow member can either PM him and sort things out or you can report to moderators and they will sort things out. Don’t charge him/her publicly which might cause embarrassment. Let’s learn to be patient and help each other out not necessarily confined to the forum itself, even in our daily lives.

20. CONTRIBUTION: THOSE WHO ARE TOTALLY SILENT JUST LEECHING AND NOT SEEDING ANYTHING ARE REQUESTED TO BECOME PROACTIVE AND MAKE THIS FORUM LIVELY.
