Here are a few questions we commonly receive from our guests following their treatments.

When can I go back to work?
The way we conduct our treatments at Castlefield Clinic & Spa, we try and ensure your treatments do not disrupt your day. We ensure the downtime is limited so that you can go back to work almost immediately. We do however, advice you to drink lots of fluid and not exert too much stress on your working day for at least 24 hours following your treatments.

How soon will my results be visible and how long will they last?
The best thing about dermal fillers are the results are almost instant, so there is no waiting around waiting to see how the results will look. As our surgeon will have guided you through the process, you will have seen your results before leaving the clinic. The best is yet to come, as the days go by, you will see your results settle and get better as the days go by and as the minor swelling disappears.

Will I have any redness?
As you leave the clinic, you will have experienced some redness, tenderness and bruising, however, this is all normal and will settle as the day goes by. To speed up the process, we do recommend applying an ice pack, wrapped in a clean towel for 10 minutes every hour just gently holding it against the area.

When can I go back to exercise and Daily Routine?
Following your injections, you are able to get back to daily routine almost immediately; however, we strongly recommend that any exercise or gym sessions be held off for a period of 5 to 7 days. After this gentle exercise for the following 3 days should ease you back into normal routine.

Can I combine treatments with my dermal filler injections on the same day?
Combining other treatments with dermal fillers is normally recommending 1 week post treatment. There is an instance where anti wrinkle injections can be performed at the same time, however, any other treatments, such as micro dermabraison, chemical peels, IPL should be help off 1 week before and one week after dermal fillers.

I have can feel some lumps and the filler seems uneven
As you reach home, you will have come down from a high from how good your results are. You may start to feel that there are certain areas which as slightly lumpy, or the filler seems uneven. You do not need to worry about this, gently massage the area you feel is slightly uneven with your index finger and thumb, and gently manipulate the substance. Most of the time, it is internal swelling which is trying to force it’s way out.
If this occurs, we strongly recommend calling us on 0161 832 8700 and we will guide you through it gently.

How long after can I fly?
We all understand you can not wait to show off your refreshed look and fly away to a sunny place, however, we do encourage you to keep from flying for a minimum of two weeks post dermal fillers treatments.
This ensures that the filler has time to settle and you have the best chance to get the results which will continue to make you happy.
