So someone (no names) wrote me the following opinion about the video. I like the discussion to be public, so with his permission, I'm posting his feedback here along with my response (in the reply). Love to hear your own point of view!

If you haven't seen the video yet, here it is:

Since you asked for my personal feedback about the creativity process:  I felt somewhat mislead into believing that the video would present me with a way of improving my creative process when in fact it assumes rather negatively that I have a problem with my own creativity; Don't you get annoyed when someone comes and tells you 'you don't have X' and continues to make other negative assumptions about you? I know all of us have thick skin and self confidence to handle that but it still strikes me as somewhat confrontational even though I know you made the video with the best of intentions.

Furthermore : Everyone have a different process , Feng Zhu's work process for example sometimes incorporates deciding if to trash a painting or continue 20 minutes in , Some writers are exploratory writers and don't do planning, they sit to write and only later make sense of the chaos while other writers like to do world building and define their characters before beginning to write.

This is my response to the feedback above.

Hey ****!

I appreciate the honest and constructive feedback.

Sorry if you found the video offensive. It was meant to help those who have experienced those 4 problems. Having been a teacher and a creative team leader for more than 10 years now, I can tell you with certainty that most artists do struggle with these things. I certainly struggled with all of them quite a lot. If you haven't - I think you're a lucky artist and more power to you!

As for everybody having a different process - well, there are certainly exceptions to the rule (I should know, some of them are good friends), but I believe I can make a pretty persuasive case that most successful artists, INCLUDING the examples you mentioned, do work within the paradigm of the CreativityWise process.

It is unfortunately impossible to convey the entire scope and power of a creative process I've been thinking about and designing for 10 years (!) in just a 1 hour video. This is just an introduction, an overview that makes an honest attempt to give some initial insights and practical help.

The whole purpose of CreativityWise.com is to eventually give people the full scope of the method. This is going to take time to build. As with everything else.... It's a process ;-)
