The age old question must be answered. There are a few similarities in the way it is handled by social standards and laws that translates to popular culture and the media. I will break this down by showing some similatities. Feel free to add as you like

Gore:
- Many death metal bands have lyrical content involving gore and feces and usually thought of in the same category as blood, entrails and feces are all unpleasant bodily contents when exposed.
- Both are typically attributes of death as you crap your pants when you die.
- Feces is sometimes lumped in with bacteria and disease.


****:
- Pooping, much like sex, is typically done in private. When either are acted out in vivid detail on film, it is declared pornographic or a fetish.
- Poop and boobs, dicks, pussies and assholes are all censored on TV regardless of the rating unless by accident (this does not apply to certain channels but the more basic ones)
- In PG-13 to R rated movies, you can show poop or implied pooping but poop pouring out of the anus is typically not show. This applies to sex as well. Movies can show flacid dicks, implied **** (in pants or otherwise), vaginal areas and implird sexbbut can not show gaping vaginas, erect penises out of clothing, full penetration or any sex act shown in detail unless in specific rated films.

Yeah, I always make sure to lock my door so my mom doesn't walk in on me. Pooping not so much, my cat loves being in the bathroom for some reason so she's forced to watch sometimes.

I can't see whats so gory about poo. It's natrual to poop and some people are turned on by watching **** gushing out of somones ass i.e. not me.

I mean if you're some sort of **** and looking at someone elses **** makes you queasy then I guess it could be gore. I guess it depends more on the individual.

I once pooped behind a storage building (at an actual storage place) because I didn't feel like driving to find a gas station.
