| Hello Beautiful Mamas!
I wanted to share with you some of the FB groups I've joined and why I love them:
1. San Diego Babywearing group - " Helping you wear your baby safely and comfortably. We are volunteers dedicated to spreading thebabywearing love and celebrate it in all safe forms!Keeping Babies "Visible & Kissable" since 2007"!
These local mamas have park meet ups/playdates all over the county and they teach you about Wearing your babiesin slings, woven carriers, and structured carriers like 'ergo' - there are so many benefits to you and the baby andit's fascinating and fun! I'm still learning, but I love to carry my 8month old!

4. San Diego Real Diaper Circle - " Are you interested in:
- learning more about the how-to's of cloth diapering?
- meeting other parents who choose to diaper in cloth?
- learning more about the health and environmental issues surrounding diaper usage?!!
Join the San Diego Real Diaper Circle! http://sdrealdiapercircle.weebly.com/">http://sdrealdiapercircle.weebly.com/ (Just saw a picture of myself attending a local meeting a few weeks ago at acafe in Kensington haha!: http://www.sdrealdiapercircle.org/circle-meetings.html )
All levels of experience with cloth diapering are welcome! We always need experienced parents/grandparents to advocate for cloth diaper usage and toeducate parents who are considering switching to cloth. Circle meetings are also great opportunities to meet and share ideas with other parents who usecloth.
We also welcome parents/caregivers who are considering making the change either part-time or full-time - there are plenty of resources here to answerall your questions! Come get one-on-one help and guidance from local experts! Real Diaper Association Circle meetings include a short introduction tocloth diapering, including the various types of diapers, then are open for questions and one-on-one guidance."
I bought my cloth diapers and all supplies, even detergent, from a local mama who has a cloth diaper business out of her home that I met in this group. I was 9 months pregnant and haven'h had to buy anything else yet (after 8 months)!!https://www.facebook.com/groups/SDRDC/members/
5. Baby Mamas: Joys and Dramas - "This group is intended for pregnant women and new Mamas alike! We share stories and milestones, ask advice, vent, and support each other through the beautiful and challenging world of motherhood! Feel free to add any new or expecting mothers that you think could benefit and/or contribute to our page! Happy Mamahood!"A great place to go for questions and to vent!https://www.facebook.com/groups/148540058549890/members/All of these groups are 'Closed Groups' so your friends/family don't see what you post. They have all been great resources for me since I was pregnant. Plus you get to meet local mamas and get out of the house for some fun meet ups (I discovered a wonderful park less than a mile away from my home that I never knew about)!! Request membership and let me know what you think! I discovered so much through the wonderful women in these groups. Enjoy!! |
