Also, musically, I wouldn't consider bands like WASP, Skidrow, GnR, Twisted Sister, etc. hair metal either. |

They all got lumped as hard rock (which is now considered hair metal) back then, because it wasn't heavier than Metallica, Slayer, Venom, DRI, Overkill, Testament, Motorhead, Megadeth etc etc. We didn't have use nor need for all these silly subgeres yet. Scorpions, Aerosmith all those bands and more...hair metal. Hard Rock/Hair Metal have become synonymous. LOL, hell, if you said "goth" back then you would get one of three responses.
"I love that era, those buildings are fuckin' cool as ****."
"Those ancient Germans were vicious mother fuckers huh?"
"You mean Gothic? That was a trippy movie dude!" |
