| About 4 months ago I was dealing with exhausting, muscle aches, fatigue, and mental brain fog. I was able to get my doctor to test some blood work and my Vitamin D was 14. I was placed on Vitamin D2, 50,000 for three months. Muscle aches went away, energy level slightly improved.
About three months ago, I had an endocrine surgeon perform an ultrasound in the clinic I work in and she found a Parathyroid tumor. Since I am a Kaiser patient, she wrote a list of lab and Kaiser only performed a PTH with CA, my calcium at the time was 9.6 and PTH was around 48. I insisted an ultrasound at Kaiser, which they did provide but the tech only performed a thyroid ultrasound, it came back negative.
I continue to have symptoms, absolutely miserable and no further lab work has been done. I went from running 5 miles 4-5 times a week and weight train on other days to now barely able to crawl out of bed and am tired all day. I am miserable, I just want to wake up and feel amazing again
What else can I do to get my doctor to listen to me? Unfortunately I can't see the doctor in the clinic I work for until July 2016, when I can change insurance and leave Kaiser. |
