I'm not the best person to introduce the Earth Day plans because I'm not familiar with them...can someone start to explain what is happening on Earth Day this year? Maybe start listing what we need done and by when? Who our resources are? Entertainment and such...

Btw: we can revise our posts at a later time, so maybe we will want to use the first post for each thread as like the central document or list for the event. ok thx ltr

(Earth Day is actually on 4/22 this year.)  CPW (Committee for the Preservation of Wildlife) is having the band Patchouli (american folk music) play in the MLK on Friday 4/20 from noon-3 in recognition of "Earth Week" and promoting their native plant sale.  I think it would be great if SSDP could possibly collaborate on this event, especially since the stage and PA will already be set up.  

Of course another option would be to try for an event in Central Park like last year. It's unfortunate that this was moved to Starbusters, because the outdoor event had great potential.  I'm totally down to help coordinate this event regardless!
