Hi I have the e74 error and was wondering if it could be fixed the same way as the rrod error, any help would be great, thanks.

sometimes it can, sometimes it can't.. I have one that was fixed by the normal xbox clamp removal, etc. So it's worth a try, i have another xbox that is from 2006 that has the e74 that had to be fixed slightly different. If you take the xbox apart and disconnect the video cable from the back but plug in the power cable, next you will want to take the dvd drive out (dont disconnect it just kind of move it to the side a little bit..) Take the white plastic fan thing out and turn the xbox on --- You will notice that all 4 red lights are flashing now, let it keep flashing until only 2 lights are flashing, then turn it off, plug in video cable, put white plastic fan blowers thing back in, put dvd drive back in... it holds the white plastic in place. Then you will turn the xbox back on and it should boot right up.
It worked for me ..
