4 year old case.
- Four years ago, thirteen-year-old Dylan Redwine disappeared in southwestern Colorado, where he'd traveled for a court-ordered visit with his father, Mark Redwine. His body was found in June 2013, and just over two years later, Mark was named a person of interest in the case, which was belatedly ruled a homicide. Source: Westword
- Elaine (Dylan's mother) said her son flew to Durango Airport on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 and his father. Mark Redwine, picked him up. Dylan made plans to meet with friends the next day. Elaine said, “Dylan’s father, Mark Redwine, told me he stirred around the house early in the morning to wake Dylan but he didn’t want to get up, so he went to town without him. He told me he ran errands in Durango during the morning and returned home at 11:30 a.m. to find Dylan gone from the house.” Elaine goes on to say Mark’s whereabouts have been confirmed by investigators.
- When Mark arrived back at the home, Dylan’s belongings and cell phone are gone. Later that afternoon, around 4:15 p.m., Elaine said Mark went to a home where Dylan was supposed to be hanging out – but the boys there said they hadn’t seen him and were trying to contact him all day. That’s when Mark said he notified police. By Monday afternoon, Elaine, Dylan’s brother and other family members drove with her from Colorado Springs to Durango to look for Dylan.
- It wasn’t until seven months later when police confirm a small portion of Dylan’s body was discovered.
