OFFLINE | Another surprise. I love Blood in our Wells which is sublime. This one is just plain soporific. In the dud bag with Melechesh and Rotting Christ. |

OFFLINE | Ah, I tried to listen to it, it really bore the **** out of me. It doesn't have that nice powerful icy atrmosphere Blood in our Wells has. |

OFFLINE | Apparently they are getting a lot of exceptional reviews. The few ones that didn't like it described the exact same thing I said in my first post. |

OFFLINE | Yeah. I generally can't listen to any reviews without giving it a shot first. But yeah. |

OFFLINE | I've seen a lot of terrible reviews for this, but people really seemed to rag on 'Microcosmos' as well which I thought was actually pretty good. At any rate, this isn't at the top of my list for albums to buy that came out this year... for now anyway. |

OFFLINE | Judging from one review I had read supposedly the new Drudkh totally opts for that whole shoegaze/post rock vibe that's been a staple amongst a lot of contemporary bands of the genre. Either way I am still gonna buy it just because I'm a "Drudkh junkie". |

If thats true then I need to get my hands on it.
I liked Microcosmos and if they add in a "shoegaze/post rock vide" well then color me straight cause I'm going to beat off to the disc |

lol.. that makes two of us then I suppose.. granted the whole 'shoegaze' element has gotten to be quite trendy within the black metal genre but somehow I kind like the effect it has overall. Furthermore it just 'fits' especially when it comes to more depressive type of bands so I guess it was only inevitable for it to be an ideal marriage of sorts. |
