I'm just about out of Glenlivet and can't decide what to buy next. I'm keen to try Havana Club cuban rum but i also want to try a drop more Port having had my first try at our last cigar meal.

Havana club is a very fine rum. I've tried the "Gold" and 7 year old one and they are both fantastic. I used to really dig Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum but it feels very sugary and light in comparison. A bottle of Havana club would be a sound investment.

I agree with Andrew, Havana Club is lovely. Only thing that irritates me is this country charges so much for it. I've been to Cuba and they practically give it away there!!!

I'm surprised how many places in Newcastle carry Havana Club as their house rum. I like to a Manhattan with my lighter cigars which a find goes down well if the barman makes a nice dark one. I tried drinking Laphroaig with my cigar at a house party and that gave quite a kick.  Laphroaig isn't for the faint of heart heart mind!

I know I'm going against the grain of the conversation here guys but I've got to say I'm a big fan
late bottled vintage port, especially with the more peppery cigars as a contrasting flavour
