Do pics of your younger self upset you?

Would it upset you if one of your lifelong friends posted a picture on their profile that consisted of them and you at a much younger age?

I haven’t done this, but a couple of my friends have, and the other person in the picture was upset in both occasions about the pics being posted. Maybe it’s a boundary violation, or a privacy thing, I dunno, but it did seem kind of harmless to me.

I thought about the vanity aspects. And what surprised me was in both occasions, the offended persons looked GREAT both then and now.

Would this upset you? Thoughts?

If I post pics of other people, I let them know before I do it and in the case of certain people, like my niece, I get her approval on the pic

Even though the pics I was referring to weren't at all inappropriate, I can see how this might feel like a boundary violation or rude. But it's so commonplace to do so here online. One friend posts pics of her marathons with her and all the other runners and I've never heard any of them express a problem with it. I'm thinking there's a lesson here, and it's still sinking in.

I was a dorky geeky kind of kid.... but hey, that was me! I am what I am, I was what I was. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed. I'm comfortable in my skin. If it makes you laugh, well hopefully you feel better about something!
