Now, there seem to be mixed feelings about this show from Digimon fans. Many do not like the way they changed evolution, and pretty much threw the whole stage/level thing out the window. I for one think that the makers were pretty gutsy to do something such as that, and I for one quite enjoyed the result. But I'm wondering, what do you others think of this? What are your opinions?

I generally dislike it, not really hate since I watch it for time to time (since I want to know more digimons). But this is my least favorite season behind Frontier coz you already said the reason, they changed the digivolution. Specially Shoutmon doesn't have any ultimate and mega only champion (it's not even called champion anymore which pisses me off) and only have cross evolution where he looks like a transformer. I just wish they go back to it's original evolution next season.

I'm enjoying Xros wars for what it is.
Xros'n is a interesting concept and Shoutmon is awesome, I didn't like what they did to Beelzebumon but I'm guessing he is different to normal Beelzemon.

But Xros Wars 2 is shaping up to be even better then the first.

well betwen xros wars and other digimon season are huge diferences
1 no normal digivolution we all like  instead somekind of digimon fusion
2 the new digimon look to human like and not made very well
3 shoutmons xros evolutions are all amost the same with small  changes
4 shoutmons final xros who fuses with  so many digimon stil looks the same as other xros evos

it was a good try  but i  didnt like it.The only thing i liked about xros wars was the story

Guys seriously, i dont see why you get so mad at xros wars cuz of the changes of digievolution, if you havent notice, digievolution changes over every season. That's what makes Digimon diferent of pokemon, they change, its not always the same thing over and over..

Digimon adventure : original evos
Digimon adventure 2: digimentals and jogress (you say, "in xross wars levels are messed up" oh yeah? you could think the same of armor level and jogress level..)
Digimon Tamers: card use, only 3 digidestined (big change), and ultimate fusion (matrix)
Digimon Frontier: spirit evolution (levels here are messed up here too, arent they?
Digimon Savers: burst mode, more mature digidestined (yeah, in digievolution this is pretty near of digimon 1 along with Digimon Tamers, and you still say this was the most out tracked)
Digimon Xross Wars: digimon crossing, and super evolution (which is not something strange)

I don't like people that cling to 01 and have their nostalgia goggles blind them to newer things.

Old school means you are just hipster. 01 was good but the animation budget was 2 cents and none of the big bads were that fleshed out and didn't really put up a fight when they did get around to facing them.

Tamers > Frontier > Xros Wars > 01 > Savers > 02 in my terms of good series.

Watched it a few times and it felt as if they were trying to copy other shows which I've seen. Didn't go well with me.

I Love the story of Digimon X-ros Wars but i just hate how they Digivolve. I wish they did a better job about how Shoutmon Digivolves. That's the only diappointing part for me.

yes i dont care if they change the digivolution lines of digimon but xros wars dad only 1 evo super evolution and  every other season had evolution  even in digmon frontiers tamers digivolved but xros wars went of the tracks when it comes to evolution

Xros War Digimons look like robot rather than normal Digimon even different from Machine type Digimons Beast look like robot more than the Beast Digimons I know   But at leaset they got a scene where Leomon not dead but purify, that one season I never thought of.
That the only episode I like the rest is dead

i have yet to see Xros wars myself. i'm watching season 5. which i actually find enjoyable...despite ppl probably disagreeing with me. i like the storyline and the digvolutions, and the burst modes.

i would have to say i like all the seasons so far, except for maybe 4...4 was okay...but the spirit evolutions were so wierd to me. ill go back and watch it again though...just because it was so long ago..and i dont remember it as well as the first three.

favorite seasons for me? well keep in mind its by a slim margin. I never really hated any season of digimon.

adventure 2 = adventure 1 > tamers = savers > frontier. Xros wars has yet to be rated until i watch it, which ill do when i finish savers. and this rating may change once i go back and watch them all again.
