I paid five diamonds to upgrade my tank to 15 fish.  It took the diamonds, but I can only still have 10 fish.  Can you help?

You should have had to use TEN diamonds to upgrade your tank to 15 fish, not five. But even if you tried using five the game should NOT have eaten them up on you. Hope you get this resolved. It's frustrating when these games don't do what they're supposed to do. Good luck.

I agree.  It should have said I didn't have enough, not take them out of my account.  And I don't think I can upgrade before I use another 10 to get 20 fish....very disappointing.

Dear Gloria,
you only upgraded your 1st tank to 15 fish places and bought a second tank this month.

But you also upgraded your chest to 15 places for 5 diamonds.
Please, be more attentive and to be sure - enter the Store - Tanks section and choose a tank to upgrade there.
