Hi Doctor,

I own a 2 months old Dash, and now it has started biting all of them in my family. Is it a problem? Please reply.

Dear Deepu,
Biting or nipping behaviour in puppies is a normal instinct. The teething time and the replacement of temporary teeth happens upto 7 months of age. Till this time puppy may show this behaviour. Attract him with a chew (it can be a readymade one from petshop or cooked and dried natural bone). We can also correct him by immediately holding his mouth firmly saying 'no'. Never punish him, try to reinforce the command 'no' whenever he tries to bite.
