There's not much Facebook can offer along the lines of personalizing your profile. It's not entirely uncommon that the majority of Facebook profiles are no different from the next. Aside from what's written in their Bio, whom they have listed as relatives, so on and so fourth.

I used to be a member on Myspace for quite some time before I had finally decided to come to Facebook. I was thrilled that Facebook offered a more friendly user-interface, but was stunned by the fact that nothing can be done to customize it. I've always liked to have a profile that was nothing shy of other-worldly. I've got a lot of experience with HTML and CSS, and was surprised when I couldn't customize what is supposed to be a "personal profile".

It'd be nice if Facebook had a profile customization feature similar to Myspace 2.0. Allowing you to change the layout of the profile, add any custom CSS, and choose themes from a Library that contains numerous different types of categories. Each category containing various type of designs that relate to the corresponding category. (E.g. - Grunge > Scratched-Black-Eroded-Theme).

It's a shame that It's not possible to have profile music without a(n) application. Profile music has always been, and always will be, the best addition to customizing your profile. The icing on the cake, if you will. It'd be nice if Facebook had an integrated music player that comes standard with the profile. Sure, the application for music is easy. But again, it lacks customization.

I'd suggest a music player that could allow up to, but not limited to, ten songs. Have options available such as -

Play music automatically - ✔
Random shuffle - ✖
Hide / show player - ✖ / ✔

Facebook's "Find-A-Friend" feature is not all that amazing, to be honest. It only allows you to search for friends via your registered email. Considering the majority of the friends I wish to find, are friends whom I have not seen or talked to in some time. They're not going to be available through my Yahoo email. Obviously because I wouldn't, or don't have them added.

It'd be nice if Facebook allowed a(n) advanced search option. Allowing you to search by name, location, etc.

Facebook's chat feature could be better. My only suggestion is that Facebook allow the chat windows to be pop-out. So, instead of having to open your browser whenever you receive an IM, you can simply open the IM individually. Similar to MSN IM. It'd be nice to allow similar IM features, as well. (E.g. - Font face, color, size, and send /share file / picture).

Thanks for reading my suggestions and opinions. If you've got anything to add, please do.
