Florida governor Rick Scott has declared war on bath salts and signed a bill outlawing their use and possession.

The synthetic drug has been compared to **** and meth.

Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen started the push for the band. He asked for the state's help when his deputies started seeing the drug and its effects on the streets.

"The sheriff was the first one to catch onto it, to see what a problem it is. And now, since his action, I contacted Alabama. I contacted other states and they say, 'Wow, that's a problem here'. They're looking into it and now of course they have federal legislation," Fla. Attorney General Pam Bondi said.

now i thought this was REAL bath salt, or is that just it's slang name?
