OFFLINE | What's going on with the community forums we had? It is a way better format than this facebook forum, especially since not everyone uses facebook. |

OFFLINE | Dunno what is going on - we put a lot of effort into that forum.......
Certainly the facebook approach is very un-ideal. I've only been on facebook a few weeks and I wouldn't have signed up especially for any forum. |

OFFLINE | I agree with Rolf & Richard
A Joomla forum / phpBB or other kind of forums are more easier to approach and also more clear then this one. |

OFFLINE | Agree not every one has FB, what's gone on with the Community Forum " time will tell" but better place for this forum is along side the Bryton Sports Web page.
Be good the have an offline software for the GPS Units too. |

Our sincere apologies for the confusion and inconvenience that you had to go through in the past few days. And thank you so much for your support and contribution to the old Forum. It has been great to have thoughts and discussions from our users.
This is the official Forum maintained by Bryton staff and support team. We are here to provide services to our users. For the old postings, we will move them to this Forum ASAP.
Regarding to the issue that some people might not use Facebook, it is something that we could work on in the near future. We will post news on our website to encourage people come in here to join us. Meanwhile, please continue to let us hear from you so that we can improve our services.

OFFLINE | I think it does make sense that the forum is owned by Bryton Taiwan - but really we do need something better than a Facebook forum and I hope that Bryton will carry things on in the encouraging way that the SA Distributors started things. And support the SA distributors in their continued involvement if they want to stay involved. |

 OFFLINE | Hi there
I've just joined Facebook specifically to be able to get onto this forum.
Like the majority of posters on this forum, i also used the other Forum and liked it very much. There were a lot of very useful posts which i personally gained a lot from to get to know about the Bryton 50 that i bought in August
I think that Bryton have made a big mistake by only using Facebook for a Forum and effectively deleting the other one out of existence.
I sent an email to Bryton, via my user account on the Bryton website, asking what had happened. I've not receive a reply yet.
I did mention in that email that i thought the 50 was a great bit of kit, but that my user experience (a very Facebook way of saying you like somethink, don;t you think) of the Bryton website left a lot to be desired.
You might have gleaned from this rant that i'm not happy with the way Bryton have unilaterally decided that Facebook is the way to go. There are other, better in my opinion, options (the obvious of which was to develop the existing well used Forum)
Perhaps it's an indication of things to come as regards the future of the website and routes that have been uploaded by users. If that turns out to be the case then i'm afraid i will no longer be a Bryton user
regards
Simon Hume |

OFFLINE | All that effort expended on adding value to the original forum appears to have been lost.
The Facebook forum format is not ideal and yet to see if it gains the same traction as prior Joomla format.
Pretty sad to see the old one go -- but it pretty much echo's the experience with Bryton support so far -- not a lot of information, buggy but who cares as long as the cash tills keep ringing up sales of their product range ...
Next step must be to get the bug lists up again for each of the products so can keep track of pending items and maybe just maybe get more feedback this time given this is the 'official' site maintained by the Bryton people |

 OFFLINE | Hi, everyone,
Thank you all for the big time support whether in the old Forum or here. We do appreciate your participation which made Bryton community better.
We understand the hassles and your frustration that the old postings/effort are not visible now. But we will collect those postings and make them visible soon.
It could be a problem, too, for some people to come in here because they need to register a FB account first. We heard that and will discuss the possibilities as to what we can do to fit the most needs for our users.
Meanwhile, please continue to be part of this community. Your participation has been and is very important for us to improve the quality of our products. Thank you all for your support and patience as always.
