I'll admit it. these things look bad-ass, and add a lot of realism to the overall experience. But I have to ask if it's worth the cost? I looked (albeit briefly) into these and just shuddered at the cost of getting enough clips for a sustained firefight. Are the clips well made? Do they suffer from jams/ball chops?
Are the guns reliable? Typical questions, I'm sure. But if/when I take that step, I'd like to know if it's going to be a fruitful purchase or just a oney sink.

They are nice but you have to get the right ones.

I have had the RAP4 Gen4 and then it was updated to address a couple bugs to the now Gen6.  I loved that marker, had 6 mags for it, upgraded it to a floating rail system and many other accessories.  After years of use, I ended up selling it as I replaced it with the Tacamo Body kit for the Tippmann A5.

I'm in the process of getting the box feed for it now.  Their great and even better on a box feed.  I am currently waiting for them to come out with the D-Mags that will cost about $5 each.

In addition to the Mag fed rifle, I also have a couple of Mag fed .43 cal pistols with 3 mags for each and 2 Tiberius T9 pistol/rifles with a good 7 mags each one of them being First Strike Capable.

There are Tacamo Body Kits from RAP4 for the Tippmann Line of paintball markers.  Some people that have purchased and used these kits say they are great, especially if you are used to using limited paint.  If your looking to get into MilSim more, they are worth the money.  Additionally, if your wanting to get into MilSim, look into getting Tiberius First Strike Rounds but be sure your field allows them.  If they Allow them, then you will have a good marker.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^  That's about the translation.

Now, the problems with that paragraph.  Mag fed is not for everyone, if you have ever played pump for any period of time with a 10 round feed, its will be an easy change over.  If not, not so much but the box feed can help with it greatly.  The bit about getting First Strike Rounds for the Tacamo Body kits, sure you can get them but until the D-Mags are released, you cant really use them without removing your barrel to breach load them.  They are nice kits but they are a couple things that could be improved and are in the works.  The magazine housing is composite, its not bad but I am awaiting the aluminum one RAP4 is working on.  Some body kits need modification to fit on and some upgrades like the RT need work to fit on them.

Personally I love mine, just got the box feed and am already modding it to make it even nicer.

Hrm...
My biggest problem is that due to team issues my so-called "sniper" tag tends to devolve from one-shot-one-kill to "Oh ****-we over extended" which turns me into extreme range fire support.
This presents an interesting quandry, and unless I'm running a several hour scenario, the idea of carrying 2 markers (save for a pistol as backup) just isn't feasible.
Damn. I like what I read about the FS package, and this ideally suits the role I'm in. But, realistically?
Looks like I'm running hoppers for awhile longer.
