 OFFLINE | Missing: October 31, 2002
Body Found: February 2003
- After a 6 p.m. keg party at his home, Chris Jenkins, his girlfriend, Ashley Rice, and a few friends headed over to the Lone Tree Bar & Grill at 528 Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. The group arrived at the bar between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m. and parked the car just south of the bar.
- Sometime around midnight, Chris Jenkins was reportedly kicked out of the the bar. Witnesses said the head of Lone Tree security instructed staff not to allow Chris back into the bar, despite the 20-degree weather outside. Wearing only his American Indian costume--a brown nylon shirt and pants, slip-shoes, and a headband with a red feather--he was put out on the street. He did not have a coat, and his wallet, cell phone, and keys were inside with his friends. It was the last time he was seen alive.

- Four months later, his body was found in the Mississippi River, still wearing his Halloween costume. Minneapolis police classified the drowning as accidental. Jenkins' blood-alcohol level was well above the legal limit, and police told his parents that he'd probably had too much to drink after bar -hopping with friends. They thought he'd fallen into the river.

- However, his family knew this wasn't the case and got their own experts involved. First, Christopher was found floating on his back with his arms folded across his chest. His over sized slip on shoes were still on and his shirt was still tucked into his pants. This would NOT be the case if Christopher had accidentally fell in, as the natural reaction would cause him to try to frantically swim to save his life. He also had human hair clenched in his left hand. GHP--the date **** drug--was also found in his system. Based off these findings, his cause of death was changed from accidental to homicide--one of the only cases of a young man vanishing after a night out, only to be found on a body of water later to be ruled as such.
