i want to buy some chile ristras and they are offered either "treated" or "untreated". just wondering what is done to them when they are "treated"?

Hi Karen! Treated Ristra's cannot be eaten. They are treated to keep them looking "perfect"

If you'd like to use your ristra for cooking, definitely order untreated!
