4-6 servings. 2lbs of cut up chicken breast. 3 tablespoons of flour. A tablespoon's amount of fresh chopped garlic. 2.5 cups chicken bouillion. 1 14.5oz can crushed tomatoes. 2lg. potatos, diced. 2lbs. of thawed green chile. 1 teaspoon of kitchen bouquet. Oil. Salt. That's the basic ingredients. Sometimes I add corn and/or onions. Brown chicken in oil in a large pan. Sprinkle flour over the meat and add chopped garlic. Add bouillon, tomatos, potatos and green chile. Add salt to taste. Bring to a slow boil and simmer until meat and potatoes are tender,~ 45 min. Add the kitchen bouquet right at the end of cooking. Add shredded cheese if you like when served. Oh, and you can't forget the tortillas! I love this when I have a cold...like chicken soup, only turbo-charged! ;~) |
