1) As she comes up the front steps, a wife hears her husband shout, “John, don’t shoot!” followed by a gunshot. She runs in and finds her husband clutching his wounded arm, a pistol on the floor, and a trucker, a soldier, and a blacksmith all standing there. Although she has never met these people, she immediately walks up to the trucker, slaps him in the face, and says, “How could you?!” How did she know who the guilty party was?

2) A father rushes his son to the hospital, and the child is immediately swept off to the operating room. The on-call surgeon steps up to the operating table, but upon seeing the patient exclaims, “I can’t operate on this person – he’s my son!” How is this possible?

I didn't get either of these. But these are set up to be a test of a person's genderist way of thinking. I do wonder, though, if women typically get this much quicker than guys do.
