I used to when it first came out...could do it somewhere between a minute and a minute and a half.  Haven't picked one up in a long time...so I doubt it now.

Was it something that just came natural to you? Or did you do it pretty much the way this guy in the video does it?

When it first came out I got my time down to less than a minute. Now even with my arthritis I can still do them in around than 3 minutes, I hurt for several hours after but love the look on my daughter face when I do get it

I picked up some of it on my own, but I think I got most of the final part from a friend back in college.  Most likely it was something similar to the video (I'm on a slower connection at the ranch, videos are sometimes a hassle).  Basically once you learn a several patterns it's not difficult.  For awhile it was fun, like Farmer's daughter reaction, when people had them sitting on their desks or tables.  It was an interesting conversation piece, but I never really had that special of a reaction.  But just to do it for oneself just got really boring.

Some things come a bit easy for me, but if I don't continually use them they disappear as quickly.  Some things I feel like picking up again...like languages and mathematics...but I don't think I'll pick up the cube again...unless I find someone close to me that would find it awesome.

I'm wondering if a person is good at solving the cube, are they equally impressive at the Chess Board? Maybe it's a bit different though; solving the cube requires algorithms and playing chess requires strategy...

I can in around two minutes. I learned how from a book. Just learned the procedures, no big deal. Can't play chess worth a damn, though.
