 OFFLINE | This is the thread, because apparently everyone else was too lazy to get around to it.
Anyway, Blue Cheer is THE BEST band prior to the debut of Black Sabbath, contentions aside. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but they're the most beloved acid rock band worldwide.

OFFLINE | They switched from a six-piece to a three-piece after catching Hendrix at Monterey.
They were the first to catch on, after their experience with Jimi Hendrix that is.
Monterey Pop was in Jun. '67, Blue Cheer recorded Vincebus Eruptum in Aug. '67, it was released in Jan.'68
