Well the 2013 winter season is here fore many. I live on in eastern Canada, and one of the first challenges of the winter is dealing with black ice. I would like to hear advice from drivers. Any tips, or personal experiences. What is your take on using a exhaust or engine brake on ice, even if be on 1 cylinder? For the yard; better to use salt, sand or fancy liquid stuff? If your trailer starts sliding, will the "spike" trick to set it back still work if the trailer is empty? I had quite the experience with that one...what are your thought on feather-braking on ice? I've had all sorts of fun and bad experiences, but I'd like to hear yours!
