OFFLINE | Policymakers are working behind the scenes to come up with a way to let states declare bankruptcy and get out from under crushing debts.
But should we do this?
California wastes money in many different ways…such as public safety employees who can retire at 50 and receive 90 percent of the final year's pay for life.
California's government employees are the nation's most highly compensated.
Also remember California leads the nation in its Liberal view for open border Policies. They’ve legalized marijuana in defiance of Federal law.
In 2004 illegal immigration in California cost them around $10.5 billion. Kids of illegals cost L.A County alone over $600 million. And now they are entitled to in-state tuition.
So tell me again why we should bail the states out?

OFFLINE | them filing bankruptcy is actually an avenue for us to avoid bailing them out. a lot of states are just being smothered by these insane public sector union pension plans, and short of bankruptcy, there's no way for them to get out from under it. |
