Pyro Rule

The use of Pyro devices such as firecrackers or other purchased or home made explosive devices is ONLY allowed to be used if the field admin team approves of the use of such devices.  Use of these devices will be announced to the entire playing field.  if there are objections they will be heard and a decision rendered.

any unauthorized use of any explosive device will result in immediate removal from the field and possible banning.

There are certain times every year that any and all pyro devices will be banned due to possibility of fire

Player Age
Badlands Airsoft field is friendly to players of all ages but we do insist that players under the age of 18 years old wear full face protection.  this protection must cover the nose and mouth are of the payer

Safe Zone

An area will be designated the SAFE ZONE  in this area there will be NO FIRING of any gun of any nature.  NOT EVEN DRY FIRING.  there will be an area designated for you to test your gun if needed.

in the safe zone it is not mandatory to wear your eye or other protective devices however we recommend that everyone wear their protective eye wear at all times just in case

No Duff
No Duff is a word that is used when something goes wrong in a game.   it could be things such as (but not limited to):
  • Non players (civilians) on the playing field (people passing through)
  • Law enforcement arriving on the field
  • Player Injury
NO DUFF is a very serious thing!!!  all players will act as follows:

  1. the person issuing the NO DUFF call will yell "NO DUFF" several times as loud and clear as they can
  2. everyone upon hearing the NO DUFF call will immediately unload and put their gun on the ground.
  3. they will then turn in the opposite direction of the NO DUFF call and yell as loud as they can "NO DUFF" passing it on.
Non Players
If there are non players on the field kindly inform them that there is an Airsoft game going on and high speed pellets are being fired that could injure them as they are not wearing protection.   Escort them off the field as quick as possible.  remember to be courteous and friendly to them they are allowed to be on the field as well.

Law Enforcement

While this should not happen you never know.  if RCMP or Police or any other agency show up on the field after the NO DUFF call and you have put your weapon on the ground with the mag out.  obey all law enforcement instructions.  advise them that you are not a field admin but can get the field admins to come to the main entrance.  at that time YELL as loud as you can (or radio if you have one) for the field admin to go to the main entrance.

Field admins will deal with any agency at that time.

Injured players

if a player is injured on the field after the NO DUFF call yell for FIRST AID (by yelling and repeating FIRST AID) one of the field admins is fully trained in first aid and has a kit.  do not attempt to move the injured player if it looks serious.  if there are multiple players in the area send someone to find an admin.

Suggested Equipment
Badlands Airsoft is an outside game area and as such has varied terrain the following equipment is recommended

  1. BOOTS - it is recommended that you have a good pair of boots that give ankle support
  2. FULL FACE Protection - Mandatory for anyone under 18 it is recommended for everyone Teeth can cost $1500+ to replace a face mask is $20 - $40
  3. RADIO - it is recommended that all players carry a Radio (walkie talkey) FRS radios are ok but the best is a UHF radio brands such as: FDC, Baofeng, Icom, Puxing, Wouxon are common brands
  4. GLOVES - no one likes getting hit in the knuckle trust me
  5. WHISTLE - if you are in trouble and can't yell blow your whistle... whistles are considered as good as a no duff during a game
  6. WATER - gets hot out there with all the gear on dehydration can kill you.
  7. KILL RAG - a red or orange rag you pull out of a pocket put on your head or wave will stop people from shooting you up.

Mandatory equipment
don't have this you can't play.

  1. EYE PROTECTION.  simple no eye pro... you don't go!

Dead / HIT
when you are hit you are DEAD... plain and simple DEAD... the best thing to do is pull out your KILL RAG and wave it in the air...  if you don't have a kill rag (GET ONE)  but until that yell HIT a few times. raise your gun in the air and walk away from the action back to spawn.

DEAD PLAYERS DON'T TALK.  just walk away in silence you are dead and can't communicate in any way.  don't talk to anyone else alive or dead.  don't go wandering around to get enemy positions just take it like a man and go back to spawn then get back at it...
