Looks a bit like a large hubcap or a model of a UFO. Sounds a lot like a steel drum. Beautiful and melodic.

Hang drum.

I thought they were going to play a Bach prelude when they started. I don't suppose they're chromatic though, so it would be a problem! Very nice sound - like steel drums but much mellower.

I've never seen these things before but I like them much better than steel drums. Those steel drums used to drown me out when I was busking at Granville Market in Vancouver in the 80's. ha ha. You couldn't play an acoustic guitar and sing anywhere within a mile of them.

As has been answered Hang Drum, but one interesting thing I heard about these is the maker cant keep up with demand, so they make you write in exactly why you deserve one, what you'll use it for etc - almost like an interview system. And you're not allowed to sell it, if you want rid, you gotta sell it back to the makers

Odd, but an interesting way of marketing using the "you cant have this" system that only makes people want it more

Bizarre! You'd think he'd just put the price up until demand was equal to his ability to supply.
