 OFFLINE | Hey Robert,
Glad to see you on here. We are hoping to find other parents to take this journey with. Our two recruits were fortunate enough to get together in the same company and platoon. Have you heard much Nick? It seems like our days revolve around the mail carrier these days. Some days we like him....others not so much! What part of CA is Tracy in? We are from NE Texas.

 OFFLINE | Kevin/Tisha,
We recieved the form letter from Nick last week and the hand written letter this week.. He seems to be doing great.. Very Very up beat letter.
Nick also sent a letter to his twin sister, again he is having fun.. Only negitive, he has to eat his veggies.
As for where Tracy is ... 1 hour east of Fan Farancisco 1 hour south of Sacramento... Northern CA...
So do you have two sons in the same platoon??
I never been to NE Texas, been to Houston and been to Dallas about 5 times .. all in the summer .. Very HOT.
Take care, hope to have more letters on the weekend. |

OFFLINE | Yes two recruits in same platoon. One is 18 the other is 21. Their dad graduated from Echo Co. in 1988. Our boys since they were little have always wanted to follow along in their dads footprints. They have heard the stories from him since they were very young about boot-camp. They knew going in, to expect a mental challenge. I just wonder what they think of their old dad's stories now! Yes it is VERY hot here in NE Texas. We have been having temps in up 90's; when you throw in our humidity it feels like it is over 100. Glad MCRD has lower temps than here! |
