I tell you, I have a love hate relationship with my mailman/mailwoman....depending on who is delivering my mail for the day!!!! I LOVE it when they come and deliver a letter from my son, I hate it when the mail consisits of JUNK and no letter......I told my mail person the other day......"You can totaly skip my house if there is no letters from MCRD.........the other stuff I can do without!!!!!!" LOL......Of course we laughed at that.....
I have been reading all of the posts from some of the other platoons that are getting closer to their graduation day and man I am so excited for them!!!!! It must be so hard to wait for those final days and or weeks right before your son/husband/fiance' is getting ready to graduate!!!!! Here we are in Plt. 2166 just heading into our 4th week and I am already so excited about July....The planing, the anticipation of seeing my son and the rest of his Plt. during the Motivational Run.....getting to give him a HUGE HUG and just to look at him and to see his face......I know we have a long way to go but July is definately in my mind....I can't wait to meet the DI's that have taken my son under their wings to make him a better Man and a better Marine.....I can't wait to meet the rest of the Plt. that my son has been learning to "live" with and work with.....and hopefully that he has made some life lasting friendships with......I sometimes find that I still have to pinch myself as this is still sureal to me.....there is a void here at home with my oldest son gone, and a void in my heart.....I can only imagine how the rest of you feel.....If it is anything like me I am so with you and give you all props for handling this so well.....(if you are handling it well...LOL) I know that my younger son....(Timmy who is 15 almost 16) misses his brother so much...more than he lets on.....They are so close and I know that Timmy is filled with so much pride for his older brother!!!!! I know he is just as excited to see him in July as the rest of us are....He also loves when the mail comes and we have a letter from his brother!!!!! Today is a hard day for me......I seem to be missing my son a lot today......The UFC fights are on tonight and he won't be here to watch it with us.....he loves UFC.....Although I am so honored and filled with so much Pride that my son has chosen this path in life I still find it very hard that he is not here with us.....the ANTICIPATION of July is steadily mounting!!!!!~ Hang in there families, siblings, parents, fiance's, wives of Plt. 2166.......Our time is coming.....Until we meet again~ Ooraahhh!!~ Hang in there Plt. 2166!!!~

BTW.....My son says that they are only on T6 (Training Day 6)....this is from the letter I received yesterday.....Not sure if this is good or if they are behind....??? I did ask him in my return letter.....and of course I am not sure when he wrote that letter......

I don't think they are behind...I know from our last letter we got Thursday, he mentioned doing rope climbing. They should be doing obstacle course again today according to our schedule his home recruiter gave us. I mark each day off until Graduation!!

Well that is good to know....I have been following the Matrix like a Bible....LOL.....so that when I write to him I can ask him questions about it....the only thing that he had mentioned from the Matrix was MCMAP and the Drills......He mentioned the MCMAP as he was up against a guy that was twice his size and apparently Marquis kicked the **** out of this other guy and the other guy couldn't even move Marquis.....LOL....he said the DI's were screaming at the other guy saying "How i the hell can this "little" guy move you and you not move him at all......of course Marquis was absolutely elated about that!!!!!!!!! I am thinking that I would be too!!!!!!!! I am sure that they are on track.....I just want to hear about the PUGIL Sticks as Marquis said prior to leaving for Boot Camp that he was most looking forward to that!!!!!!!

I looked you up on FB but there is no link on your page to add you as a friend...... and I am not sure if you can 1. find me on there as I am locked up tighter than a NAVY SHIP...LOL and 2. wether or not I have a link to add either.......We'll figure it out I hope!!!!!!
