You should give One Piece a try. I like other anime too but the only one I'd recommend to any random anime fan is One Piece. I can't really describe it in mere sentences...you need to experience it yourself.

I can't stand the One Piece anime. However, I find myself liking the manga. And I don't watch subs. I can't stand whiny, high pitched Japanese voices. They make me want to kill.

For now, I recommend one anime: Dance in the Vampire Bund. I thought it was very good. Beware though, intended for mature audiences. I'll post up more later.

I don't watch subs either. I've only found myself watching Subs to Darker than BLACK, which doesn't have anything bad with its voices or acting. I prefer dub because I don't have to read the anime, as much as I love reading its annoying. Might as well read the manga instead at that point...

What's it about besides Vampires? Story etc etc? I'm interested in watching or reading new anime/manga.

Well, I don't like hearing such hate about the Japanse subs and their voice (?), but opinions are opinions

Personally, I dislike most dubs because the VAs couldn't act their ways out of paper bags and kill the mood of the anime. But to each his own, I suppose.

That's making the claim that the Japanese actors/actresses can act well, when this is not so. Its so rare to find Japanese animes with good acting; Naruto, One Piece, Bleach -- all have bad acting. Why? Because its a huge anime and they don't spend time on acting and redoing scenes. You will mostly only find the good acting in tiny 12 episode series.

well some ppl may disagree with me...but i find season 5 of digimon really enjoyable. Ive been watching it lately to catch up on digimon anime. season 3 is also enjoyable. However nothing can ever touch season 1 and 2, they were simply magic. I have not made it to season 6 yet, but season 4 i pretend didnt happen lol.

lets see...i liked Medabots too. Shaman King was also pretty good. Yu-gi-Oh! was only nice to watch when i was into the card game. The Dot Hack series is another one i like a lot, One of my favs. Although the anime endings were always kind of floppy. However the manga of .hack//Legend of the Twilight i'd have to say is my favorite manga. it's short, 3 volumes, but such a complete story with a great beginning, middle, and ending.

I always enjoyed Case Closed too. Ouran High School Host Club I liked a lot (i know im a guy, but hey, it was enjoyable lol) Code Geass was great at the beginning, but took some really wierd turns later on. i always tended to like the more happy and cutsey anime and manga rather than the dark blood and guts. Also never really cared for hentai either. And yaoi is like Kryptonite to me. Hold out yaoi to me and i'll be dead of radiation poisoning in about 30mins if i stay exposed.
