ARK Animal Rescue Krew is a Not-for-Profit organization which cares for, rehabilitates and adopts stray, abandon and abused feline. We have many cats/kittens through out the pet stores in local Peterborough as well as many adoptable in our Thrift Store in Lakefield (3307 Lakefield Rd). When adopting through ARK you receive your pet with all their shots including rabies, dewormed, deflead and spay/neutered for $100. Unless you are adopting a kitten under the age of 6 months then you receive your kitten with it's shots (no rabies), deflead, dewormed for $100 plus a $50 vouchure towards the cost of spay/neuter. This vouchure is filled out by your vet at the time of spay/neuter and returned to ARK for a refund. ARK does not allow Declaw however if you are looking for a declawed cat please call because sometimes we do have them surrendered already done and we do have resources to find you a declaw if that's what you actually want. (Declawing is cruel to a feline and it DOES change a cats personality.) Remember when you adopt any feline it takes time to adjust for both you and for the cat.
Check out our Thrift Store sometime. This is how we support our cats. We have no Government funding and rely solely on donations, adoptions and sales int he store. We are located at 3307 Lakefield Road. Tuesday through Sunday 10 -4 We carry a little bit of everything. movies, books, clothes, dishes, knick knacks, furniture.
Donations accepted with a receipt provided for $10 or more. Always in need of canned cat food (Friskies - green can or any other Pate), laundry soap, dish soap, garbage bags, paper towels.
