i think that if anything, aliens might've visited our ancient ancestors and taken an interest in them, possibly sharing some knowledge with them, but i don't see us as being a product of any unearthly forces. there was a very rapid period of human development though, following the neolithic revolution. in a 3-5000 year period, we went from hunting and gathering to building the pyramids. considering we were hunter-gatherers for hundreds of thousands of years, this was a big leap.
