OK, Ill go first!
Alright plt 1005 parents, wives and girlfriends, as our recruits tear it up @ MCRD, lets fill this forum and show those 'other' platoons what back home support is like.  1005 is about 1/2 way there, and i'll bet are figuring it all out by now.  And the DI's will keep reminding (and showing) them they don't!  Getting upbeat letters from our son Will, who says his 'buds' in 1005 are the best.
We are from Fayetteville AR (Go Razorbacks!) and can't wait to meet everyone on 7/29.

I've also received encouraging letters from my son Justin.  What a relief to get that first letter!  They're in Phase Two by now and if the training schedule I found is correct they are in 'Grass Week' whatever that means.  
We are from the East Bay Area in California and we look forward to meeting you in July!

Last I heard (as of a letter sent Sunday 6/19) shooting went well, and last Saturday they even got to relax a bit and listen to a concert.  This past week was field week and we will soon be entering Phase 3!!!

My bf sounds upbeat and excited that he's only a month away from graduating   Sounds like our boys in Alpha CO Platoon 1005 are doing well, overcoming much, and making us proud!

34 more days 'til we get to see our Marines!
