OFFLINE | Ponch, as you can see the format is different but far more versatile than a thread. People get set in their ways, but that doesn't seem to apply much to you or me. Neither of us think the world is coming to an end, we do not give in to panic attacks, and you and I know we must not wait until the political commercials begin. You have an advantage that I lack. You are in the field with hands on contact with the political front and you know most of our friends longer than I have. If you see and like the potential of this forum, you, far more than I, can get them to try something new. Forum allows for an unlimited amount of members and memory. Our walls and threads do not, and the beauty is that every member can invite new people, and that sounds like what you are looking for. This quite literally can have 100,000 members.
A few tricks available here is BOLD PRINT, ITALICS, UNDERLINING HIGHLIGHTING, COLORED TEXT, such as this ,PHOTOS SUCH AS... 
It also is superior to threads in that you can decline a link. Such as: I can invite 40 friends to view this conversation. If they choose not to then they do not get the annoying notice every time someone posts...And you are not stuck with the original invite of friends, you can add to it at anytime.
I have already begun assembling an extensive data bank and this forum is still a baby.
The page I have begun is no where near this in scope but it is another way to attract fellow patriots and lead them here and as members join a think tank begins to grow.
