OFFLINE | As some of you know I am an advocate of self-reliance, some may say to the point of obsession but that is for another thread.
I was talking with a guy about what we would do if there was a power outage, for one reason or another, that lasted for an extended period of time and the subject of laundry can up. He told me that there was no way he would ever use a washboard because they were too much work and too difficult to get anything properly clean. That reminded me of a video that was put together by someone I know in a different forum.
This is his 9 year old daughter Alisha. Every time they bring out the washboard she always want to help.
Is there anything else you can think of that adults may think as hard work but children find fun? |

OFFLINE | washing windows.... for some reason my grandaughter has always loved to do it. Come to think of it, when I was a kid it was way more fun than it is now! |

OFFLINE | I have a ten-year-old who loves to clean the bathroom. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what joy she finds in it, but who am I to stand in the way of her happiness? |
