He unfortunately Neil passed away on Monday 10th May 2010 in Houston, Texas at the age of only 32. Neil was actually a Dowden - the son of Sally Reece & Everett Dowden.

As many of you should by now know Annette Elms (1888) is one of our links from the Greaves family to the Elms family (when she married George Greaves in Grenada 1905). Annette was the daughter of James Albert Elms and his lineage is as follows:-

John McAndrew Elms married an Elizabeth in about 1794 in St Thomas they also named a son John McAndrew Elms (#2) who married Elizabeth Ann Bullen on 21 Apr 1821 Saint Thomas. It was this couple who had John Benjamin Elms christened in 25 Dec 1821 St Thomas.
This John Benjamin Elms m.Sarah Frances White (on 24 Oct 1844 St James) and they had the following children:-

James Alfred Elms (c.18 SEP 1845 St Thomas, Barbados)
Frances Elizabeth Elms (c.abt.1847 St James Barbados)
*John Benjamin Elms (#2 c.19 Feb 1851 St James, Barbados)
*James Albert Elms (?.1854 Barbados) [birth not found]
Joseph Edward Elms (c.06 Dec 1861 St Michael)

Our James Albert Elms m.22 Jul 1879 St James, Barbados to Georgina Chilcott (b.1855, 24, father William Francis Chilcott)

Note: Georgiana Chilcott had a child at 20 (Samuel Lawrance Chilcott c.30 Jun 1875 Barbados) before she married.

Also John Benjamin Elms (#2) claimed his age as 25 (meaning he would have been born 3 years later) married 20 Apr 1879 St James to Elizabeth Lakey (b.1855, 24, f.Anthony Lakey) and their child was Nellie Rosina Elms (c.05 Nov 1879).

Does anyone know whose George Greaves (who married Annette) parents are?
also his birth date?
