OFFLINE | Whenever i start up my PC, a User Account Control box pops up checking that i want to give permission for the BBDaemon.exe programme to make changes to my computer. I realise that this is to do with BrytonBridge but is there any way of disabling this other than knocking back my security threshold on the PC? |

OFFLINE | I'm getting this too, it isn't really a problem as I can just click 'allow' once and it doesn't affect me until I turn on my PC again.
I've read the other post, Thanks for the pointer Daz , but Im not sure I'm willing to turn UAC off . It's there for a reason, no matter how annoying. I think that Bryton should be able to have its software load properly, most appliations do... would be interesting to hear what they have to say. |

 OFFLINE | Hi,
As Mark suggests, you either turn UAC off or check yes for permission. If you check no, BB2 won't start up automatically when you plug in the device. The best way might be check yes since it is from a safe resource. |

OFFLINE | I think what we're saying.... certainly it's what I'm saying, I'd like not to have to make this choice every time I switch my computer on. Tomtom home, for example, starts up automatically and sits in the taskbar ready for use. I don't have to choose whether I want to run it every time the PC boots. Can't the BBdeamon do this too? |

 OFFLINE | Hi Mark,
there's a workaround for this - just read this blog:
http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/window-on-windows/selectively-disable-uac-for-your-trusted-vista-applications/635
Thanks,
Tudor |

OFFLINE | Great to have a workaround, but i would prefer not to have anything to work around. Brytonbridge sits flashing at me most of the time the PC is on. Can Bryton manage to alter the software to prevent this please?
