Nestled off Adeola Odeku in Vicotria Island on Akin Olugbade Street is Roberts Cafe, a Lagos eatery offering World cuisine in a stylish yet functional space.

The welcome;

Roberts Cafe have a good street presence with a nice sign and entrance. Walking into the premises I observed well maintained grounds and outdoor seating.

The gate attendants were polite and welcoming, as well as the door man as I entered the restaurant.

The hostess greeted me and sat me at a table almost immediately. The room was well air conditioned and Sky news was on the wall panel flat screen TV. The crowd was the cosmopolitan Lagos residents having power lunches and enjoying the wireless internet service.

The food;

I ordered the celebrated Nigerian traditional breakfast, Ewa riro (which consists of beans, boiled plantain and fresh fish). It was freshly made and well presented.

Roberts Café provide such timely lunch service that I would recommend this restaurant to the droves of executives in the bustling VI neighbourhood.

The Pros;

·         Good concept.
·         Consistent food.
·         Wireless internet.

The Cons;

·         There was no welcome as the server took the order.
·         There were no logos on the uniforms.
·         The service area needs a overhaul.
