有備無患- 有備無患- Yun bi Mun Hwan (where there is preparation there is no fear)
By Master Daniel R. Segarra

The quote 'where there is preparation there is no fear' comes from the ancient Korean battle manual the Mu Yei Dobo Tong Ji. This was a military tenet that all the warriors lived by; If you are prepared you will be fearfull.

The question is are you preparing yourself each and every class? With each and EVERY technique? Last time I spoke about Never retreat in battle. You can't even consider battle unless you are prepared, to do so would be a waste. Each technique you have you must develop to your fullest potential. I know without a shadow of a doubt if I have to kick an attacker it will be something they will never forget if they survive it. How do I know that and why am I so confident about that? Because of many thousands of quality repetitions doing my best on EACH and EVERY SINGLE ONE, and repeatedly testing that technique successfully.

Let's say you have a test tomorrow and you did not study for it. How would you feel, would you feel confident and fearless or worried? Now imagine you've studied and know the material extensively, now how would you feel? Fearless!

So in every class remind yourself of the importance of Yun Bi Mun Hwan do EVERY technique as if your life depended on it, move with centeredness and purpose and never retreat in battle.
