 OFFLINE | Some 60 families lost their homes after a fire of undetermined origin razed at least 30 houses in a residential area in Parañaque City Thursday night.
Radio dzBB reported early Friday the fire started at 8:30 p.m. at Fourth Estate in San Antonio village and reached the fourth alarm before it was put out at 9:54 p.m.
Parañaque fire marshal Superintendent Manuel Manuel said 30 to 40 houses were razed while as many as 60 families were affected due to the fire.
A separate report by dzBB’s Rodil Vega said no one was initially reported injured in the fire. The report added arson investigators also estimated the damage to property at between P300,000 and P400,000.
Meanwhile, fire of undetermined origin razed a commercial building in La Loma in Quezon City before dawn Friday.
No one was initially reported hurt in the fire, which razed a drugstore, a restaurant, a pawn shop, and mail delivery establishment in the building.
An initial investigation showed the fire started about 1 a.m. and reached the third alarm before it was put out at around 2 a.m |
