OFFLINE | Regarding how spouses handle their private and home finances, one thing this book (10 Convos before marriage) isn’t explaining is how ‘gifts’ factor into the equation when they have three bank accounts (2 personal, 1 joint).
If they both make about the same amount of money, then I think this is a fairly balanced thing. But what if one partner makes significantly more money than the other, and they agree that ‘gifts’ are to be purchased out of each others private account? Wouldn’t that seem unbalanced and unfair?
Thoughts?

OFFLINE | One thing didn't occur to me as I typed this; what about where the money comes from for gifts purchased for friends and family? Does it matter if friends are mutual? Does the closeness of extended family matter?
Just more thoughts on this.... |
