Siddharth, Shruti Haasan’s film goes on floors

A new film starring Siddharth and Shruti Haasan is all set to begin its regular shooting from today. The trial shooting of the film was earlier held in the third week of February. Venu Sriram is making his debut as a director with this film. Vijay K Chakravarthi is the cinematographer. Dil Raju is producing the film on his Sri Venkateshwara Cine creations banner and it’s his second film with Siddharth after Bommarillu. Siddharth and Shruti are pairing up for the second time after Anaganaga O Dheerudu. The duo’s latest film is touted to be an urban romance. The film is tentatively titled O My Friend. Couple of days ago, Shruti Haasan had tweeted that she has been learning Kuchipudi for a new film without specifying for which of her upcoming films, thus leaving a lot to our imagination. Will this film have a dance & music theme imbibed in the story? Let’s wait and see.

Siddharth’s ‘O My Friend’ set for Dusshera release?

Siddharth’s next film, O My Friend is currently being shot in Hyderabad. So far, 50% of the film has been shot. Shruti Haasan and Hansika play the lead roles in the film. Venu Sriram is directing it and Dil Raju is producing the film on Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner. Talking about the film, Dil Raju said that Venu Sriram will make it big in the industry as a director. “Like K Raghavendra Rao and Puri Jagannadh, Venu Sriram has a lot of clarity about what he wants. He’ll go a long way,” he said. Venu Sriram has been working for most of Dil Raju’s films since Arya. With the pace, at which the film is being shot, Dil Raju is hopeful that the film might hit the screens for Dusshera.

Vijay C Chakravarthy is the cinematographer and the film brings together Siddharth and Dil Raju after a gap of five years. The previous films where the two had teamed up was Bommarillu.

Upcoming film 'Oh my friend' completed 40% of shooting already and the rest of the film is also being done at a brisk pace. 'Oh My Friend' update


It is known news that the southern stud Siddarth is currently busy with the shaping up of his new movie Oh My Friend. This time, he is pairing up with the apple pie beauty Hansika Motwani in the lead. Sources say the film has wrapped up 40% of the shooting and this is being directed by Venu Sriram while Dil Raju is the producer. Siddharth is going to join the sets of his upcoming film, O My Friend from today. The film was recently shot in Hyderabad and after almost a 10 days break, the shooting will be resumed in Hyderabad. Venu Sriram is going to make his debut as a director and Shruti Haasan is playing the lead role opposite Siddharth. Dil Raju is producing the film. Vijay K Chakravarthi is the cinematographer.

The actor has been on a whirlwind tour in Hyderabad and Vizag recently where he promoted his film 180. Yesterday, he was at Vignan College, Vizag where he interacted with plenty of students and journos. The film is all set for release on June 25.
