 OFFLINE | Yeah I know that's an ironic as **** thread title for some of you but as someone who used to hate bm, I've discovered that there are quite a few bands out there that go out of their way to break out of the mold and be interesting instead of repeating the same bullshit that's been old since 1998.
I don't like bands that are too out of whack and almost not black metal like Sigh (at least from what I've heard). I prefer bands that keep it raw but also add a touch of beauty (albeit a very alien form of beauty) like Blut Aus Nord or Deathspell Omega, Nocternity, or perhaps something similar to Lykathea aflame, which is actually more grindcore anyways, but they are quite a versatile band.
Whatever you think is cool post here. Doesn't really have to be black metal. Something really dark and harsh but meaningful would be cool. |

Ha just kidding. I don't know if this is anything like what you're looking for, but I just discovered this the other day. They made only one album in 96
but are supposedly reuniting to make another.
