Do you still remember the day of 2012/12/21?  As a famous saying by Shakespeare, “to be or not to be, it is a question.” Now, we are in the same situation, “to die or to live”, it is also a question we are going to face in the near future. But do you know how does the doomsday come? Why we call it doomsday? And what is “Mayan civilization”? Believe it or not, it is fantastic. If it is true, what should we do? How is the doomsday like? In what way the doomsday comes? There is nothing but question marks in our mind! Now, we want to see the truth!!!!!!!!!!
       
Mayan, a group of mysterious people with brilliant wisdom, a lost civilization was once located in Eastern part of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras. They have great civilization in astronomy, math, agriculture and art. Mayan civilization was once prosperous in 4c-9c. But such a huge and magnificent culture was ruined with out any omens, almost suddenly disappeared. Besides those advanced knowledge in many aspects, Mayan leave us a terrible hint. The world will end in 12/21, 2012 and the sunlight of 12/22, 2012 will never come! No matter true or not, this news has shocked the whole world. There will be a fatal disaster, terrible enough to ruin the earth? But how? There are many conjectures. What do you think? What is the doomsday in your mind?

The End of the World: The idea of the sudden end of the world by any cause is absurd. The Earth has been here for more than 4 billion years, and it will be several more billion years before the gradual brightening of the Sun makes our planet unlivable. Meanwhile there is no known astronomical or geological threat that could destroy the Earth.
Cosmo phobia: Many young people write to me that they are scared of astronomy. When they read about some new discovery, the first thing they think is that it might hurt them, even if it is happening in a distant galaxy. There is no reason for such fears, which I call Cosmo phobia (fear of the universe). This rash of concern seems to be the result of too many conspiracy theories and sensational stories featured on the Internet and irresponsible news outlets. Astronomical objects are so distant that they cannot threaten the Earth. Please don't be afraid of the Sun or the planets or comets or asteroids. The universe is not your enemy.
